Dr. Bruner is a highly experienced optometrist with over 20 years of experience and the owner of Professional Family Eyecare. In addition to overseeing the practice, she actively treats patients and specializes in contact lens exams, common eye disease management, and comprehensive eye exams.
Education
& Experience
Dr Jillynn Bruner, O.D., grew up in southwestern Ohio and Tennessee, and knew from a young age she wanted to work in healthcare. She graduated from Anderson University with a biology degree, before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She wanted to return home and offer excellent eye care to her friends and neighbors, so she moved to Darke County — and be back in the kind of rural setting that makes her feel at home.
As the entrepreneur of a privately run and family-owned small business, she ensures that her eye doctors and staff go out of their way to make their patients feel welcome. She also serves as a practicing eye doctor; Dr. Bruner adds her compassionate, patient-oriented enthusiasm for eye care to her specialties, which include comprehensive eye exams, routine vision care, and contact lens exams.

When she’s not serving the practice, Jillynn is actively enjoying the great outdoors with her family. She can be found hiking, running, and enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the rural wilds — often while listening to podcasts or reading. Jillynn is well-versed in holistic wellness and nutrition, and she openly celebrates God for the blessings he has granted her husband and seven children.
